The Cass County 4-H Fair began last night with Megan Mannering being named as Miss Cass County 2015.
“I remember coming to the pageants when I was 4 or 5 years old. In fact, my babysitter, Katie Ramsey (Anderson) who was Cass County queen and Miss Indiana (State Fair). She used to babysit me and I remember watching her and thinking ‘Oh my gosh, she is the definition of a good role model, a beautiful young lady and now that’s me, and I have this duty for my county and I’m really excited to get started.”
Katie Ramsey Anderson, a former Miss Cass County and Indiana State Fair Queen, was in attendance at last night’s pageant and spoke with Miss Cass County Megan Mannering after last night’s queen contest.
"She came up to me afterwards and I let her know she was one of my inspirations, one of the reason I had to run and it was really a cool moment."
Mannering who will represent Cass County at the Indiana State Fair Queen Pageant this winter, is looking forward to fair week in Cass County.
“I’m really excited for the year ahead of me and I’m going to do my best to represent this county and just let other people that don’t live in Cass County know what a wonderful place it is.”
Members of the Court include 1st Runner Up Jennifer Crafford, 2nd Runner Up Kylie Pugh, 3rd Runner Up Sarah Fisher and 4th Runner Up/Miss Congeniality Madison Zartman.
Mandee Weisenburger was named Little Miss Cass County, Sydney Moon was named Jr. Miss and Mallory Minnick was named Teen Miss Cass County at last night’s queen contest.
