AREA ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS BATTLE, IN "BATTLE OF THE BOOKS"

Area elementary schools participated in “Battle of the Books” at the Logansport Public Library yesterday. Caston, Columbia, Fairview, Franklin, Galveston, Landis, and Pioneer Elementary each brought teams of 5 to 10 players. Each Battle consists of 18 questions and the teams have 1 minute to come up with an answer. At the end of the battle, the team with the most points wins. The library started the Battle of the Books during the 2007-2008 school year. There are four teams returning today for the final rounds. Both Galveston and Pioneer are currently undefeated and Landis and Columbia have one loss each.
