"STATE OF THE HOSPITAL" ADDRESS HELD AT LOGANSPORT MEMORIAL HOSPITAL

Logansport Memorial Hospital held a “State of the Hospital” address and luncheon today. President and CEO Perry Gay spoke to nearly 40 community members about 2015 accomplishments and growth for the hospital as well as plans for the future. Gay indicated that 2015 was a very financially sound year for the hospital and the first quarter of 2016 indicates continued growth. Highlighted accomplishments for last year included purchase of the Logansport Regional Cancer Center, adding five new medical providers to the OBGYN, Dermatology, Family Medicine, and Walk-In Clinic units, improvement in patient satisfaction scores, and renovations to the Family Medicine Suite and the Surgical Services Suite. Gay talked about a number of upcoming objectives for the hospital. Immediate improvement will include new, larger signage outside the hospital. The year will also bring focus on employee recruitment and retention and continued improvement of patient experience. Gay mentioned that one specific project in the works is a planned expansion and remodel of the Family Birth Center.
