STATE THEATER TO SHOW "PURPLE RAIN" AT MIDNIGHT IN HONOR OF PRINCE
Iconic singer, songwriter, and producer Prince died unexpectedly yesterday at his home in Minnesota. He was 57. Prince was a 7 time Grammy winner and sold more than 100 million records. Last night cities across the world lit up buildings, bridges, and landmarks in purple lights in memory of the superstar. Through special arrangement with Warner Bros., the State Theater in downtown Logansport has secured the rights to show the 1984 iconic rock musical film Purple Rain tonight at midnight in honor of Prince. The film will play immediately following the scheduled Burlesque show. All are welcome, however, owner Kevin Burkett asks that kids be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The appropriateness of the movie for kids is a judgment call for parents and guardians.
