CANCER CENTER HOLDS ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY
The Logansport Memorial Regional Cancer Center celebrated its one-year anniversary Wednesday with an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony. Logansport Memorial Hospital CEO Perry Gay addressed a packed room of community members who gathered for the event, exactly one year to the day of the hospital acquiring the cancer center. Gay thanked the staff of eight at the cancer center, including oncologist Dr. John E. Marvel, who has been with the center since the beginning. Gay also acknowledged the great need in Logansport for the center, demonstrated by the patient volume that nearly doubled in the last year. The ceremony concluded with a special flag raising ceremony with local Boy Scout Troop #221. The Logansport Memorial Regional Cancer Center is located at 1616 Smith Street and provides comprehensive, community-based radiation therapy services to patients.
