CINCINNATI MAN LIFE-LINED AFTER ONE VEHICLE CRASH IN WHITE COUNTY

A Cincinnati man has been life-lined after a one vehicle crash in White County.  At approximately 7:10 a.m. on I-65 northbound near the 186 Mile marker the Indiana State Police at the Lafayette Post were dispatched to a one vehicle rollover crash with injuries. Preliminary investigation has revealed that a black 2008 Honda Civic driven by Jonathan Dearaujo-Batista, 24 of Cincinnati was in the left lane on the interstate. The vehicle drifted off the roadway to the left, over corrected to the right and went across both lanes of the interstate. The vehicle went into the right ditch, rolled several times and came to rest on its wheels. The driver was extricated from his vehicle and was life lined by helicopter to St Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis with life threatening injuries. It appears seat belts were in use at the time of the crash. Neither alcohol nor drugs appear at this time to be a factor in the crash. Assisting at the scene were Indiana State Police Troopers, Monticello Fire Department and the Brookston Fire Department.
