LOGANSPORT MAN SENTENCED TO FORTY YEARS FOR CHILD MOLESTING

A Logansport man has been sentenced to forty years for child molesting. Forty-one year old Rodney McGuire entered a guilty plea on April 14 to Child molesting, a Class A felony. Prosecutors say that between 2007 and 2010, McGuire repeatedly molested a victim who was then under the age of 12. According to evidence presented at sentencing, McGuire admitted the acts during an interview with the Indiana State Police. Today Prosecutor Lisa Swaim announced that McGuire has been sentenced to forty years in the Indiana Department of Corrections.  Judge Leo burns handed down the sentence, citing the defendant’s acceptance of responsibility for the crime. The case was investigated by Indiana state Police Detective Josh Rozzi and prosecuted by Deputy Prosecutor Noah Schafer.
