SEMI-TRACTOR TRAILER ROLLS OVER ON US 31 IN FULTON COUNTY

An accident involving a semi-tractor trailer shut down traffic at US 31 and Fulton CR 350 S early this morning. Shortly after midnight emergency personnel were dispatched to the area of US 31 northbound lane and Fulton County Road 350 South for a reported semi-tractor trailer rollover.  Juan Cornejo, age 46 of Lafayette, was traveling northbound on US 31 and left the right side of the roadway for unknown reasons.  As the tractor and trailer attempted to reenter the roadway both overturned, in turned causing the cargo to be released.  The cargo which was bundles of cut lumber covered the roadway in both northbound lanes of traffic. Four other vehicles were damaged due to striking debris in the roadway, but no one was seriously injured in the crash.
