10 YEAR-OLD BOY DIES AFTER TREE BRANCH FALLS ON TENT

A Mishawaka family was camping at Indiana Beach campground when tragedy struck this morning. The White County Sheriff’s office says a large tree branch fell from a tree and landed on a the family’s tent with the family inside. A 10 year-old boy inside of the tent was struck when the branch fell. A 911 call was made and Indiana Beach security arrived and performed CPR on the boy until ambulance/fire personnel were on the scene. The boy was transported to IU Health White Memorial Hospital in Monticello where he was pronounced dead.
