Marsh Supermakets Continue to Struggle

Marsh Supermarkets continues to struggle financially. The company is involved in multiple lawsuits filed this year that allege it has not paid monthly rent at six different Indianapolis locations since the fall, and landlords are trying to collect $480,000 in unpaid rent and property taxes. The Peru Marsh store will close permanently this Saturday. When Florida-based Sun Capital Partners bought the business in 2006, Marsh had 120 groceries. It now only operates 67.
