Logansport Woman Critically Injured in ATV Accident

Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an ATV accident that injured a Logansport woman yesterday afternoon. 19 year old Michelle Montano was operating a Suzuki Ozark ATV when for some unknown reason, she crossed the roadway and collided with a fence. She was transported initially by ambulance to Logansport Memorial Hospital and then later to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne via Samaritan helicopter. Montano was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and sustained injuries including multiple abrasions, trauma to the neck area and abrasions to the abdomen. She is listed in critical condition.
