THREE ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES

An investigation late last week led to three drug-related arrests in Logansport. Shortly after 11 a.m. Thursday, officers assigned to the Logansport Meth Suppression Unit conducted an investigation in the 700 block of Race Street, Logansport. A search warrant was granted and executed and officers allegedly located several items associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine, along with meth, marijuana, prescription narcotics and several items of paraphernalia.

While officers were executing the Search Warrant three people arrived at the residence: Deana M. Ehler, age 25, of Logansport, Heather M Riley, age 34, of Logansport and Shawn M. Miller age 24 of Logansport.

After speaking with the individuals, officers allegedly located paraphernalia and marijuana on Ehler and Miller, and consequently they were incarcerated.

A resident of the property, 50 year old Ernest James Lipps, was also arrested but had been arrested on a traffic stop earlier in the day and was not at the scene. He faces charges from that arrest of Conspiracy to Manufacture Methamphetamine and several possession charges.

As the investigation continues, additional arrests are anticipated. Citizens are encouraged to report suspicious activity to the Logansport Police Department by telephone at 574-753-4101 or via email at drugtips@logansportpolice.com or lpdmsu@logansportpolice.com.
