LPD Officer Honored For Bravery

Logansport Police Officer Andrew Strong is being honored for his bravery for saving a man last month while he was off duty. Strong and his wife were driving along Perrysburg Road on August 17th when they encountered a man pulled over to the side of the road, bleeding profusely. Strong used a T-shirt from the man’s car as a tourniquet to slow the bleeding from the man’s arm. The EMT’s who responded to the scene said Strong’s actions likely saved the man’s life. Yesterday, Logansport Mayor Dave Kitchell presented Strong with the city’s Recognition of Heroic Act award.
