IVY TECH AWARDS DEGREES
Ivy Tech Community College Kokomo Region – which includes campuses and instructional sites in Kokomo, Logansport, Peru, Wabash, Rochester and Tipton – celebrated its 2015 commencement Saturday, May 9. The College conferred a total of 1,126 degrees and certificates.
Also honored during Saturday’s ceremonies were honorary degree recipients Stephen J. Daily, chancellor emeritus of Ivy Tech’s Kokomo Region, and Greg Goodnight, mayor of the City of Kokomo. Josh Rockey of Peru, associate professor of Communication and department chair of the region’s University Transfer Division, was the recipient of the President’s Award for Excellence in Instruction; Chris Stepp of Kokomo, adjunct instructor in Communication, received the Gerald I. Lamkin Award for Excellence in Instruction and Greg Aaron of Kokomo, a 1979 Ivy Tech graduate who now serves as Kokomo Region’s executive director of Finance, was the recipient of the Alumni Achievement Award. Graduating students Tyler Yeakley of Galveston, received the Chancellor’s Award; and Alisha Boyd of Logansport, Mimi Ford of Kokomo and Parker McAdams of Peru, were recipients of the Dr. Pam Lewis Award for Academic Excellence.
