RITZ WILL SEEK RE-ELECTION
Indiana’s Superintendent of Public Instruction had previously announced plans to run for governor, but this weekend she said it’s not the right time for that. Democrat Glenda Ritz announced Friday that she will seek re-election to her current position as Superintendent of Public Instruction in 2016. Ritz cited two areas that are of particular concern to her - a rising childhood poverty rate and a major decrease in the numbers of college-level students pursuing majors that will lead to teaching.
