The Cass County Community Foundation’s 2016 “Give Your Heart to the Community” Campaign is scheduled for February. It’s the 20th year for the fundraising event, which includes Valentine serenades and $1 hearts at Mratin’s Supermarket to help celebrate Valentine’s Day and support the work at the Cass County Community Foundation.
For a $100 contribution, CCCF Valentine singers will deliver a live serenade to your loved one. Serenades will be delivered on Friday, February 12th this year. CCCF guitarist Mike McCord has accompanied the volunteer singers since the beginning and will be joined by his son, Jake, who also plays guitar. Anyone wishing to sing with the volunteers should call the CCCF office as soon as possible for instructions. Singers can participate the entire day or a portion of the day. Lunch is provided by Pizza Hut for all singers.
Martin’s Supermarket will also be selling $1.00 Valentine Hearts supporting the Community Foundation at their checkouts. Cashiers will offer the hearts for purchase from February 1st through Valentine’s Day. Those who purchase hearts may sign their own name or they may dedicate it to a loved one. The cashier who sells the most Valentines will win a Pizza Hut gift certificate!
