LOGAN HOSTING SPECIAL OLYMPICS SECTIONAL

Logansport High School will be one of several sites to host the 2016 Special Olympics Indiana Men’s Basketball Sectional on Saturday, March 19th. Division winners will vie for state championships at Terre Haute on April 2-3.

Opening ceremony will take place in the Berry Bowl at 8:45 a.m. Games will take place in both the Berry Bowl and auxiliary gym beginning at 9 a.m. Teams participating are from Cass, Tippecanoe, Fulton, Howard, Clinton, Carroll, Pulaski, Wabash, White and Kosciusko counties.

There will be 5-on-5, 3-on-3, and Skills basketball contests.

The Skills basketball competition will begin in the auxiliary gym at 9 a.m. This competition is for lower-level athletes who compete in dribbling, shooting, and passing skills. This program was developed to help athletes develop their basketball abilities.
