LOGANSPORT IVY TECH STUDENTS TO BE HONORED AT COMMENCEMENT SATURDAY IN KOKOMO
Ivy Tech Community College will recognize this year’s graduating class at 14 different sites across Indiana. The Community College estimates that nearly 20,320 credentials will be awarded at commencement ceremonies throughout the state taking place from May 5 to May 14. In addition to earning credentials, Ivy Tech students have earned thousands of credits to transfer to four-year institutions throughout the state, saving those students more than $38 million dollars in tuition costs. The Ivy Tech Kokomo Region 2016 commencement ceremony will be this Saturday, May 7, at 10 a.m. at the Kokomo Event & Conference Center at 1500 N. Reed Road. Some of this year’s Dean’s Award recipients are Logansport students. Rebecca Sims, Elizabeth Myers, and Janet Beck will be honored as the 2016 Dean’s Award winners in their respective programs. Award winners are chosen by their program chair based on scholastic achievement, related occupational performance, college leadership and community involvement.
